According to SarahPolley.org, the actress will play Queen Kristina of Sweden in the 1600s. Canadian film actress Sarah Polley will star as the 17th century Queen of Sweden in the dramatic feature Queen Kristina, to be directed by Mika “The House Of Branching Love” Kaurismäki. The real Kristina, born into Swedish royalty in 1626, was her father’s only heir, raised as a Prince and educated as a boy. Upon her father’s death she took the oath as a king, not a queen and was nicknamed ‘Girl King’.
